Poems by Alfred Williams (1877 - 1930)

Alfred Williams was born in South Marston, Wiltshire in 1877. He wrote his first books of poetry while labouring in the railway works in Swindon. He served in India during World War One. His poetry is rooted in the beloved Wiltshire where he lived almost all his life. He died in South Marston, the village of his birth.
