Poems by Geoffrey Chaucer (1343 - 1400)

One of the great figures of English Literature, Chaucer is most famous for his great series of narrative poems, The Canterbury Tales. He was born in London, and as well as a poet, was a courtier and diplomat. He is buried in Westminster Abbey. In the 16th century his remains were moved to a new spot and he is the first poet to be buried in what is now known as "Poet's Corner" in the Abbey.
