IN HER GARDEN OF YADDO
Hours fly,
Flowers die
New days,
New ways,
Pass by.
Love stays.
Time is Too Slow for those who Wait,
Too Swift for those who Fear,
Too Long for those who Grieve,
Too Short for those who Rejoice;
But for those who Love,
Time is not.
Spencer Trask and his wife, the writer Katrina Trask, rebuilt Yaddo in 1893 after a fire.
The house and gardens are open to the public and it is now a famous artist's colony.
