Description of a Journey 2 - Charlton

Stephen Duck

Excerpt from Description of a Journey to Marlborough, Bath, Portsmouth etc.

Charlton in Hampshire has now become part of the outskirts of the town of Andover.

Duck stopped off in Charlton on his way down to the West Country from London. Poetry Atlas also has many excerpts from the rest of this poem about his journey.

The Atlas also contains many other poems about Hampshire.
