Consider, say,
the petroglyph
of an animal,
and the similar forms
carved on rock faces
by natural forces
such as
wind and water.
The spectacular geography of the Navajo Nation Reservation, which occupies parts of Utah, Arizona and New Mexico, is dotted with ancient petroglyphs. These rock carvings and paintings are the work of the Anasazi or Puebloan people. The area's geography is equally sculpted into remarkable shapes and colours by natural forces.
