This red mud-brick city of the Sahara fascinates me
It fuels my imagination as I travelled back in time
Through its geographical and folkloric landscapes
A Tuareg cosmopolitan town and Centre of their World
As in the past, the city still witnesses the arrival
Of camel salt caravans from Bilma
And the Air Mountain watches over its inhabitants
