I am enthralled by your beauty-
your painted sky in summer evenings
your gardens, pathways
old streets, decorated squares
wide roads, magnificent metro
the newly built cathedral
of Christ the Saviour
centuries old monasteries
mushrooming malls
old rinaks at every corner
countless museums, theatres and parks
Tchaikovsky's Shelkunchik at Bolshoi
a boat cruise in the Moskba
a walk through Niskuchani Cad
a tour of the Kremlin
a march past by the Red Square.
I am amazed to see you
miraculously change your colours
from snow white to green
as the spring approaches
after a long dark winter,
I love you in autumn
when you are pure gold
I love you in winter
when you are white cold
I love you in spring
when snow melts
I love you in summer
when you are of many colours
and I'll always love you
in all seasons, whatever colour
you wear.
