The Golden Gate is the iconic bridge across the straits at the entrance to San Francisco Bay. It was built in 1937 and is the most famous landmark in San Francisco, perhaps in all California. Poetry Atlas has more poems about the Golden Gate and plenty of poems about San Francisco and the whole astonishing state of California.

This poem of course is not actually a true haiku, which requires only 17 syllables.
