At the right time of year the city sparkles.
Sparkles slowly emerged from the Grand River
and slowly reflected from cloudy windows
on the Anglican stone church with the red door;
almost made it a pity we didn't live there.
You stood there in front of the church for a pose
carrying our first child; red coat matching the door;
beaming smile marking out our 1 year mark
touring Water Street South, Queen Street, and Main Street
and the burgers at a place on 13 Main Street
became another sun sparkle in our day.
