Poems by Rupert Brooke (1887 - 1915)
Rupert Brooke was an English poet known for his idealistic war sonnets written during the First World War. Brooke was born in Rugby, Warwickshire. He was educated at two independent schools, Hillbrow and Rugby. He died in a French hospital ship in a bay off the island of Skyros in the Aegean on his way to battle at Gallipoli.
