Poems by Bayard Taylor (1825 - 1878)

The poet Bayard Taylor was born in Pennsylvania. He began writing early and travelled widely, as a tourist and journalist to places as far flung as Iceland, Europe, Egypt, India and China. He became a diplomat,. but not long after arriving in Berlin as the new US Minister to Germany, he died. He is buried in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.
