Poems by Francis Beaumont (1584 - 1616)

Francis Beaumont was born to a noble family in Leicestershire. He was educated at Oxford and later became a lawyer. He mixed in literary circles, though, a a student of the great Ben Jonson and friend of Drayton. He eventually wrote his own plays and in his lifetime was celebrated as both a plawright and poet.
