Poems by Archibald Lampman (1861 - 1899)

Archibald Lampman was born in Morpeth, Ontario and spent most of his life working as a postal clerk in Ottawa. He had suffered rheumatic fever as a child and died young, aged just 37. He is buried in the same cemetery he described in his poem "In Beechwood Cemetery". Lampman has a Canadian literary prize named after him.
